allpay Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Connelly as the new Director of Financial Services. Richard’s promotion to the Board of Directors is a testament to his outstanding contributions since joining the company 11 months ago as Head of Group Delivery.
During his tenure, Richard has revitalised our service delivery to clients, positioning allpay at the forefront of Public Sector payments. By breaking down silos and fostering closer collaboration between allpay’s IT and commercial teams, Richard has been instrumental in advancing the company’s product roadmap, ensuring sustained growth for both allpay and its clients.
Richard brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished 30-year career in Financial Services and Technology. His career spans major financial hubs including London, Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He has held significant roles such as DevOps Lead, Asia Delivery Lead, and Global Head of e-channels Problem Management at HSBC, and Associate Partner at Citihub Digital Consultancy. Additionally, Richard co-founded and served as COO of a startup and has worked with leading institutions like JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Société Générale.
Beyond his professional achievements, Richard is an avid competitor in team races with the Wye Valley Runners club, enjoys hiking with his dogs, and engages in garden projects. He also volunteers with AbilityNet, a charity dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities use digital technology, making home visits to provide assistance.
